Scandals, Showdowns, and Some Serious Shade
The latest episode of Beyond the Gates was nothing short of a masterpiece in messy drama. From backstabbing at the Ebony photo shoot to family feuds that make Shakespeare look tame, this full episode recap of BTG is serving up the finest in high-society chaos.
The Ebony Photo Shoot: Dani vs. Chelsea, Round One
Chelsea was all set for an Ebony magazine shoot, but Dani—resident diva and chaos queen—wasn’t about to let her have a moment of peace. Instead, she decided to play stylist, sabotaging Chelsea’s hair and making sure she knew who the real queen of the industry was.
Kat, who was just trying to exist in this war zone, feared that Dani’s rage would soon be aimed at her. (Kat, sweetie, it already is.) Meanwhile, Andre, the photographer, decided he wasn’t here for Dani’s nonsense and promptly put her on a modeling time-out. Dani was not pleased, but a few compliments later, she was back to sipping cocktails and plotting her next move.
Fairmont Country Club: The Art of Holding a Grudge
Over at the Fairmont Country Club, Vanessa, Nicole, and Dani had a moment to breathe before Hayley—yes, that Hayley—strolled up, ready to chat. Dani, however, had zero interest in playing nice. Instead, she made it crystal clear that if Hayley was looking for an easy ride, she better get off the train now. Dani vowed to make her life miserable, and honestly? We believe her.
Meanwhile, Vanessa was busy trying to figure out her own life. Between her crumbling marriage and Diego, the too-attractive-for-his-own-good trainer, she had some very important personal training to schedule. A session with Diego later this week? We see you, Vanessa.
Naomi is Done with Bill’s Excuses
Bill thought he could get some father-daughter bonding time in with Naomi, but she wasn’t having it. In fact, she let him know—in no uncertain terms—that he was dead to her. Not only did she refuse to forgive him, but she made sure he understood exactly how disgusted she was with his choices.

Naomi is done with Bill's excuses | CBS |
Bill, still convinced that time will heal all wounds, tried to explain himself. Naomi wasn’t interested. Instead, she delivered one final mic-drop moment and walked away, leaving Bill standing there looking like a man who just realized he lost everything.
Nicole’s Office: The Curious Case of the Missing Laura
Mona was already worried when Laura didn’t show up to work. And just as her paranoia was peaking, the phone rang—Laura was in the hospital. Cue dramatic gasps.
Leslie, who was on the other end of the call, played it cool (a little too cool, if you ask us). But before we could dive into that mystery, Leslie oh-so-casually suggested that her daughter, Eva, fill in for Laura at work. Mona, desperate for a solution, jumped at the idea. But something about this whole situation feels... off.
Back to the Ebony Shoot: Dani’s Unfinished Business
Dani wasn’t done tormenting Chelsea just yet. In classic Dani fashion, she decided to critique Chelsea’s performance, pushing her buttons until Andre stepped in again. This time, Dani was forced to sit out while Chelsea and Kat handled business.

Laura’s Not-So-Accidental Accident
Over at the hospital, Laura was not taking the whole “nearly dying” situation well. She was worried about work, her trip to Maui, and the little fact that someone may have just tried to kill her.
Nicole and Ted wasted no time pointing out the obvious—this wasn’t an accident. Someone wanted Laura gone. And as if that wasn’t enough drama, Ted made a call to Jacob, Naomi’s husband and a detective in robbery-homicide. Time to get the professionals involved.
Meanwhile, Laura was on the verge of a breakdown, especially when she realized her recovery was going to take six to eight weeks. (Who has time for that when there’s scheming to be done?) But at least she had Nicole in her corner, who reassured her that she was family.
Who’s Getting Backstabbed Next?
