Days of Our Lives Full Episode Recap | Baby Drama, Diamond Doug & A DiMera Disaster - Wednesday, March 26, 2025 [SPOILERS]

The drama is hotter than a Salem summer, and if you missed today’s Days of Our Lives, buckle up because it’s a bumpy ride. We’ve got betrayals, heartbreaks, and enough bad decisions to fill an entire season. So, let’s dive into this full episode recap and break down the absolute chaos that unfolded in Salem.

Holly smuggles Doug into the Kiriakis Mansion | DOOL Peacock

Tate’s Guilt Trip and Sophia’s Adoption Dreams

Poor little rich boy Tate is all up in his feelings at Marlena and John’s penthouse, reliving the moment he tattled on young Douglas. Sophia arrives, all hopeful that her mother is finally going to greenlight Johnny and Chanel’s adoption. But she senses something is off with Tate, and it doesn’t take a psychic to guess what—or should we say who—it is. That’s right, Holly. Because if Tate isn’t angsting over Holly, is it even a real Days episode?

Tate spills the beans to Sophia about Doug’s sticky fingers and how he shattered Holly’s trust in a single snitch session. Sophia, ever the perceptive one, calls it like she sees it: Tate wanted to punish Doug for stealing Holly’s attention. Ding ding ding! Give the girl a prize. But now, Tate’s little act of jealousy has completely backfired, and Holly’s probably planning his demise as we speak.

Meanwhile, at the Kiriakis Mansion…

Holly is restless in her room, probably scrolling through her phone for revenge ideas. Maybe a well-placed thirst trap to make Tate regret everything? Who knows.

Julie’s Heartbreak and a Diamond Disaster

Over at the Horton house, Maggie walks in on Julie, who is serving high-level heartbreak. Turns out, she kicked Doug to the curb after the necklace debacle. Maggie is floored, wondering why he would do such a thing, and Julie doesn’t have an answer—just an overwhelming sense of betrayal. The worst part? Doug just sat there and let Julie point fingers at her own brother. Yikes.

And just when you thought things couldn’t get sadder, Julie starts reminiscing about how she thought young Douglas was some kind of divine miracle, sent to heal her heart. Well, that miracle just shattered it all over again. Even though she’s furious, she still worries about where Doug slept last night. Because deep down, family is still family—even when they completely wreck your trust.

A Park Bench Pity Party

While Julie is worrying about Doug, the kid himself is sleeping rough on a park bench. That’s when Paulina, queen of Salem, swoops in, mistakes him for someone experiencing homelessness, and leaves food for him. Doug wakes up to a call from Holly, who freaks out when she hears he spent the night outside like a Dickensian orphan. Without a second thought, she demands he come to her place immediately. No hesitation. No second-guessing. Holly is ride-or-die, and Tate should be very nervous.

Johnny vs. EJ: The Ultimate Father-Son Smackdown

Meanwhile, over at Paulina and Abe’s, Johnny is lost in his own dramatic flashback when, boom! EJ shows up, knocking on the door like he didn’t single-handedly ruin his son’s entire existence. Johnny, being his father’s son, clocks the serrated knife on the table before slamming the door in EJ’s face.

But, EJ being EJ, bulldozes right in and starts his redemption speech. He’s all about how complicated his past is, how he loved Samantha Gene, how his bad behavior is basically coded into his DiMera DNA. He even has the audacity to hope for Johnny’s forgiveness.

Johnny is not having it. At all. He says EJ destroys everything he touches, including his own son. Before kicking EJ out, Johnny looks at the knife again and drops a chilling “you’re dead to me.” Salem, keep your eyes on Johnny because this is not the last time that knife will make an appearance.

Chanel’s Adoption Dreams Go Up in Flames

Over at Horton Square, Chanel meets with Paulina and Amy Choi, aka the key to her and Johnny’s adoption dream. Chanel is anxious, and rightfully so—Johnny is spiraling, and one wrong move could ruin everything. And just when things seem hopeful, Amy opens her tablet and BAM! An article titled “DiMeras in Disarray” pops up.

The article is a full-blown hit piece detailing all of EJ’s (many, many) crimes, including conveniently disappearing witnesses and mounting legal troubles. Amy isn’t here for excuses, and she drops the ultimate bombshell: the adoption is OFF. She thanks divine intervention for the warning sign and leaves.

Johnny shows up just in time to see Chanel completely gutted, and Paulina sums it up in four words: “Your father happened. Again.”

Doug’s Homecoming (Kind Of)

Back at the Kiriakis mansion, Holly has smuggled Doug inside and is making him take off his wet clothes for a warm shower. Doug hesitates but eventually gives in. Before Holly can run to Maggie for approval, Doug stops her, convinced he won’t be welcome. She tells him to shut up and let her do her thing.

Maggie arrives home to a phone call from Nicole, telling her to expect a “package” from Holly. Seconds later, Holly tries to explain Doug’s presence, but Maggie cuts straight to the point: Has Holly been covering for Doug this whole time? Because the truth is already out, and Maggie knows exactly who spilled it. And it wasn’t Melinda. It was Tate.

The Fallout Begins

Just when Sophia and Tate thought things couldn’t get worse, Ms. Choi waltzes into the penthouse and drops the adoption bomb. After flashing the damning article, she informs them that Johnny and Chanel are officially out of the running. If they can’t find a new couple, well… guess who’s raising this baby themselves?

Meanwhile, across town, EJ is foaming at the mouth over The Spectator’s hit piece and immediately blames Chad. He’s ready to wring Leo’s neck when Paulina storms in, all fire and brimstone, and reads him for filth. Because thanks to him, her baby girl’s adoption dreams are dead, and she makes it crystal clear: No one messes with her child and gets away with it.

Johnny’s Next Move… And It’s Not Looking Good

Johnny and Chanel return to Paulina’s, completely devastated. The adoption was within reach, and now it’s just… gone. Johnny, still simmering with rage, mutters that if his father weren’t around, they’d be parents right now. Chanel reminds him that unfortunately, EJ does exist.

Johnny, however, is still looking at that knife. And with a dark, final whisper, he says, “We’ll see about that.”

Someone better warn EJ because things in Salem are about to get even messier. And that’s saying something. Check back with Soap Opera Reviews for daily spoilers and recaps. We live for the drama!
