The Young and the Restless Full Episode Recap | Gas, Guilt & Guts - Monday, March 17, 2025 [SPOILERS]

When it comes to The Young and the Restless, the only thing more reliable than a fresh cup of coffee at Crimson Lights is the sheer chaos that follows its Genoa City residents. Monday’s full episode recap is packed with everything we love—abductions, guilt trips, and more psychological warfare than a bad reality show reunion. Let’s break it all down.

Crimson Lights: Sharon’s Safe Space... For Now

Sharon | CBS SONY

Sharon, fresh off her latest kidnapping ordeal, is exactly where she wants to be—sitting across from Nick, soaking in his support like it’s her personal lifeline. She’s safe, she’s free, and let’s be real, she’s probably rethinking every decision that led her to this point. And if you think this peaceful moment will last, you clearly don’t know Y&R.

Tuesday's Spoilers from Soap Opera Reviews

 Billy Boy’s Conscience Kicks In

Over at Billy’s, Sally notices he’s a little too emotionally invested in Phyllis’s survival. Sure, he almost got himself killed saving her, but the real question is—why is he acting like he’s personally responsible for her safety? Someone’s got a hero complex, and Sally’s taking notes.

Family Drama: Phyllis’ Kids Demand Answers

Phyllis reunites with Daniel & Summer | Y&R

Meanwhile, Daniel and Summer storm into the club, demanding an explanation from Phyllis. It’s not every day your mother disappears, only to reappear looking like she’s been through a bad escape room challenge. Between bites of her burger and sips of wine (because, priorities), Phyllis gives them the rundown: She and Sharon were forced into a twisted psychological experiment. And, oh yeah, the kidnapper is still out there. Fun times!

Chance’s Clue Hunt: CSI Genoa City

Over at Havenhurst, Chance is knee-deep in police work, barking orders and bagging evidence like he’s auditioning for a detective procedural. They’re looking for prints, and Chance is determined to figure out who had the audacity to rig a gas leak as part of this demented social experiment.

Sharon, meanwhile, casually drops the most insane theory yet: Maybe one of their own kids orchestrated this to make them face their history. Because nothing says love like a near-death experience, right?

Phyllis and Sharon: Bonded by Trauma

Back at the club, Phyllis finally admits the unthinkable—she wouldn’t be alive if it weren’t for Sharon. And vice versa. They saved each other, working through their long-standing animosity in the most extreme version of therapy imaginable. Nick, understandably, is furious. Psychological experiment or not, someone out there is playing god with their lives, and he’s not having it.

Alan’s Phone Secrets: Nothing Says ‘Totally Normal’ Like Suspicious Alerts

Alan | Y&R

Across town, Traci is getting some serious red flags from Alan’s phone. ‘Security breach at clinic. Precautions enacted.’ Excuse me, what now? Alan brushes it off, saying he’s been getting weird messages for days and assumed his phone was hacked. Sure, Jan.

Traci, in true investigative queen fashion, isn’t buying it. Especially when Alan suggests that having his identity stolen would be a “fascinating experiment.” Sir, this is not a TED Talk.

Traci & Alan | Y&R

Phyllis Isn’t Fine, and She Knows It

Phyllis interrupts Billy and Sally’s moment (because of course she does) to deliver a bombshell: She needs Billy’s help. She wants her life back, and apparently, Billy is the only one who can make that happen. Sally wisely takes her leave—no need to be in the blast zone for this drama.

Chance Finds a Lead

Chance has an update for Sharon & Nick | Y&R

Chance delivers an update: They traced the remote-controlled device that triggered the gas leak to a hardware store near the clinic. Finally, a solid lead! Now they just need Sharon and Phyllis to scan security footage and identify the psycho who thought gaslighting (literally) was a good team-building exercise.

Phyllis’ Power Move: Back to Work, No Matter What

Billy & Phyllis | Y&R

Phyllis, refusing to take a breather, demands to jump right back into work at Abbott Communications. Billy, for once, tries to be the voice of reason, urging her to take a moment to process her trauma. But Phyllis is having none of it. She wants action, she wants power, and she wants it NOW.

Billy finally caves, admitting that the press release went out without her name. Phyllis understands, but let’s be clear—she’s back, and she’s ready to reclaim her throne.

A Getaway Offer for Sharon

Back at Crimson Lights, Nick suggests Sharon take a little vacation—maybe visit Faith and Noah in Europe. Sharon is on board… under one condition. Nick has to come with her. Because nothing says romance like bonding over shared trauma, right?

What’s Next for Genoa City?

This episode was a rollercoaster of gas leaks, guilt trips, and power moves. With the kidnapper still on the loose and Alan’s suspicious behavior raising eyebrows, Genoa City is far from done with the drama. That’s it for Monday’s full episode recap. Stay messy, Genoa City!
