The Young and the Restless Full Episode Recap | Kidnappings, Confessions & Chaos - Monday, March 24, 2025 [SPOILERS]

Monday's episode of The Young and the Restless was a rollercoaster of emotions, accusations, and unexpected alliances. Just when you think these Genoa City residents have seen it all, life throws another curveball, and of course, they handle it with all the grace of a cat in a bathtub. This Y&R full episode recap is messy, dramatic, and exactly why we keep tuning in.

Sharon and Daniel: Therapy, But Make It Casual

Daniel checks in with Sharon | Y&R

Daniel checks in with Sharon, expecting her to be in a celebratory mood now that the hostage nightmare is over. But Sharon’s not about to let him wrap this up with a neat little bow. “Not even close,” she corrects him. There’s still a kidnapper out there, and after being trapped with Phyllis of all people, she’s left with more questions than answers.

Meanwhile, Phyllis wakes up from a nightmare and finds Summer and Nick banging on her door. Instead of gratitude, she greets them with the warmth of an unpinned grenade. “Tell your daughter to stop hovering!” she snaps at Nick before attempting to slam the door in their faces. Nick, however, is having none of it.

Billy and Sally: Trust Issues? You Don’t Say

Sally, already sensing something is off, confronts Billy about his earlier chat with Phyllis. “Wait, was she asking you to keep a secret?” she demands. Billy insists that Phyllis didn’t, but considering his past, Sally’s skepticism is well-earned. He reassures her that honesty is their thing now, unlike their exes, who had about as much integrity as a wet paper bag. Then he throws in a little psychological warfare for good measure: “When you save someone’s life, you’re bonded forever.” If that’s not a red flag, I don’t know what is.

Back in Phyllis’ suite, the emotional floodgates burst. After enduring Summer and Nick’s fussing, Phyllis finally cracks. “I was locked up with someone I despise! Who even does that?!” she exclaims, spiraling into a breakdown in Nick’s arms while Summer watches helplessly.

Victor’s Web of Power Plays

Elsewhere, Victor is busy doing what Victor does best—digging up dirt and making power moves. He grills Michael about Jabot, but his real interest lies with Aristotle Dumas. Who is this mystery man, and why does Victor have him in his crosshairs? Mike can’t find anything tying Dumas to Devon and Lily, but Victor’s instincts are tingling. “Keep digging,” he orders. If there’s one thing we know, it’s that when Victor sets his sights on someone, they might as well start packing their bags now.

Sharon and Phyllis: Frenemies Forced to Bond

Back at Society, Sharon and Daniel dissect their respective traumas over a drink. The irony of Phyllis and Sharon being forced to work together isn’t lost on either of them. Sharon suggests that maybe—just maybe—the real lesson here was proving that even sworn enemies can save each other. Daniel, however, isn’t buying that his mom has suddenly turned over a new leaf. “Are you really past your anger toward her? Or are you just pretending?” he asks. Sharon, ever the enigma, doesn’t give a straight answer.

Phyllis, still emotionally raw, lashes out at Nick. “Why don’t you go hold Sharon’s hand?” she snarks before collapsing into his arms. Summer, utterly at a loss, watches as her mother spirals between gratitude and resentment. “I owe Sharon my life,” Phyllis admits, “but I still resent her for what she did to our family.” A self-aware Phyllis? Now that’s a plot twist.

More Power Moves and Unexpected Conversations

Back in the Newman world of scheming, Victor continues his obsession with Dumas. “Why has he resurfaced now?” he wonders aloud. Mike points out that Dumas has a history of appearing, striking, and then vanishing into thin air—like a business world boogeyman. Victor isn’t intimidated. He sees an opportunity, and if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that Victor Newman never lets an opportunity go to waste.

Meanwhile, Daniel’s self-reflection hour continues as Tessa joins him at the bar. “Looks like you need someone to talk to,” she observes. He recounts his conversation with Sharon, acknowledging that it was meaningful, but definitely not forgiveness. Tessa, wise beyond her years, sums it up: “Sometimes, when you’re in the middle of it, you don’t realize you’re just collateral damage.” Well, that’s bleak.

Over at Billy and Sally’s place, the phone is buzzing nonstop. Sally checks and finds out it’s Aristotle Dumas trying to get a hold of Billy. Looks like Victor’s business nemesis might be stirring up more trouble than expected.

Friends or Shall we say Frenemies: Sharon and Phyllis Talk

Phyllis finally takes a step she never thought she would: she sits down with Sharon to talk. “This wasn’t my idea,” she clarifies immediately, as if anyone assumed Phyllis would voluntarily engage in a healing conversation. But before Sharon can so much as lift an eyebrow, Phyllis admits, “You’re the only one I can talk to about what we went through.” Even Sharon is taken aback.

Nick and Summer wisely vacate the premises, giving these two powerhouse women the space to let their history, trauma, and raw emotions play out. Sharon, as calm as ever, agrees that talking might actually help. “But fair warning,” Phyllis interjects, “it might get ugly.”

Without missing a beat, Sharon smirks. “When has that ever stopped us?”

And with that, The Young and the Restless saga continues.
