The Young and the Restless Full Episode Recap - Wednesday, March 5, 2025

Drama, Power Moves, and a Whole Lot of Ego

Today’s Y&R full episode recap is packed with power plays, petty rivalries, and some serious eye-rolling moments. Adam and Billy are still locked in a never-ending battle of "who’s the better failure," while Victor remains the king of corporate manipulation. Meanwhile, Chelsea finds herself stuck between two men who can’t stop obsessing over each other, and Diane is busy pretending that taking the high road is an actual personality trait. Let’s dive into all the delicious mess that went down in Genoa City.

Adam, Chelsea & Billy | CBS

Victor Newman: Still Playing Puppet Master

Just when you thought Victor might take a break from running everyone’s lives—nope! At the Genoa City Athletic Club, he’s grilling Jack about Billy’s latest business venture. Apparently, Jack's “idiot brother” (Victor’s words, not mine—but, honestly, fair) has decided to take on Newman Media. Victor, of course, finds this laughable and predicts a spectacular failure.

Jack, never one to back down, reminds Victor that he underestimated the Abbott family before. But Victor is unfazed, delivering yet another of his classic metaphors—something about foundations crumbling. (Honestly, at this point, he should just write a book called Victor Newman’s Guide to Corporate Warfare and Overused Analogies.)

Jack throws a curveball by suggesting a pact. Because what’s a good old-fashioned corporate feud without someone pretending they want peace?

Billy Abbott: CEO of Wishful Thinking

Meanwhile, Billy is out here acting like the voice of morality in business. (I’ll give you a second to stop laughing.) He insists to Adam that Abbott Communications isn’t about competing with Newman Media, but about truth and ethics. Adam, naturally, is having none of it. He knows Billy is out for revenge, and honestly, he’s probably right.

Later, when Billy finds Chelsea and Adam holding hands, his protective instincts kick in. He warns Chelsea that Adam is nothing but trouble, but she assures him she can take care of herself. Adam, sensing that Billy has way too many opinions about his personal life, basically tells him to get lost.

Billy then shifts his focus to Sally, the latest woman he’s trying to convince he’s a stable, well-adjusted man. (Bless his heart.) He calls her up, needing to get ahead of Newman Media before they can run a story about Abbott Communications. He also leaves a message for Phyllis, because when you need a nuclear option, Phyllis Summers is your girl.

Chelsea, Adam, and Their Never-Ending Baggage

Adam and Chelsea are doing their usual "Will They, Won’t They, Should They Even?" dance. They’re both hung up on their exes, yet still convinced they have a shot at a fresh start. When Chelsea accuses Adam of still being obsessed with Billy, he fires back with the same accusation about her feelings. (Look, if these two put as much effort into therapy as they do into their ex-drama, they might actually be happy.)

Eventually, they agree to keep their focus on the future. But knowing these two, they’ll be back to sniping at each other about past relationships by lunchtime.

Nikki Tries (and Fails) to Talk Sense Into Victor

While Victor is busy planning his next power move, Nikki is doing her best to be the voice of reason. She warns him that dragging Kyle and Claire into his battle with the Abbotts is a bad idea, but Victor doesn’t seem too concerned. She reminds him that he and Jack once had a truce—could they possibly stop this before it spirals out of control?

Victor, being Victor, is about as likely to back down as Adam is to admit fault. So, naturally, he dismisses her concerns and doubles down on his master plan.

Jack and Billy: A Corporate Takeover With a Side of Family Drama

Jack stops by Billy’s place with a warning—Victor knows about Abbott Communications. Billy, already fired up from his earlier run-in with Adam, starts trying to figure out who leaked the info. Phyllis told Nick, but would he betray them? Could Kyle have said something to Claire? The paranoia is real.

Jack, ever the skeptic, questions whether this company was really about ethics or just another attempt to stick it to the Newmans. (Ding ding ding, we have a winner!) Billy insists it’s about building something positive. Jack isn’t entirely convinced but decides to let his brother have his moment.

Sally then walks in to save the day, offering to help clean up the PR mess. She gives Billy’s press release a once-over and declares it brilliant, innovative, and sexy as hell. (Nice of her to feed his ego like that.)

Who’s Really Winning?

By the end of the full episode recap, it’s clear that no one in Genoa City knows how to let go of a grudge. Victor is still scheming, Billy is still trying to prove himself, and Adam is still pretending he doesn’t care while making it very obvious that he does.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is stuck mediating a feud between two men who should really just get matching “rivals forever” tattoos and be done with it. Jack is trying to be the responsible Abbott, but let’s be honest, he’s getting pulled into this mess whether he likes it or not. And Phyllis? Well, she’s probably off somewhere plotting her next move, because if there’s one thing we know, it’s that Phyllis Summers is never out of the game for long.

So, who will come out on top? Will Billy’s media empire actually succeed, or is he just setting himself up for another spectacular flop? Will Adam ever let go of his issues with Billy? And will Victor finally meet an opponent who can outmaneuver him?

Tune in tomorrow!
