The Hospital Hustle: Nurses Know, But They Ain’t Talkin’
![]() |
Andre | BTG |
Poor Andre. He's out here trying to be Ken Burns with a camera, but the nurses at Garland Memorial are treating him like he’s contagious. Ted, who’s still pretending he has some kind of moral compass, tells Andre to chill. He’s only a couple of days into his little “truth-telling” documentary crusade, and the staff are clearly terrified of ending up as one of his exposés. Patience, young filmmaker. Rome wasn’t ruined in a day.
Meanwhile, in Laura’s room, things are not looking cute. Apparently, a little “complication” post-heart attack has turned into an infection courtesy of a potassium spike. The doctors want to keep her under observation indefinitely, which in BTG language means “something sketchy just went down, and no one’s saying anything.”
Martin and Smitty: Brunch, Banter, and a Whole Lotta Love
Martin and Smitty hit the streets for brunch, and for once, BTG gives us a dash of romance without someone storming off or throwing a drink. Martin gets sentimental about refilling the pen Smitty used at the start of his career. Cute, right? Until he takes it a little too far and says he’s always “filling him up.” Sir. We are in public.
Still, love is love, and the flirt level is off the charts. Smitty even grins through the awkward innuendo. Martin says he loves him, and Smitty pulls a Han Solo with a smug “I know.” Relationship goals, but make it BTG-level dramatic.
Samantha’s Modeling Delusion: Somebody Please Intervene

Samantha | BTG |
Elsewhere, Chelsea and Samantha are knee-deep in the aftermath of Samantha’s fashion show debut. Spoiler alert: Samantha is feeling less than fierce after seeing the photos. Chelsea, our resident fashion realist, tells her that modeling is all about learning to look good at weird angles under worse lighting. It's not about the model—it’s about the product. Harsh? Maybe. True? Absolutely.
Chelsea gets real about a friend who had an eating disorder by just trying to “make it.” That friend ended up in the ER and is now done with modeling for good. You’d think that would shake Samantha into sanity, right? Wrong. She hears that cautionary tale and immediately asks Chelsea to be her manager. Because nothing says "I’ve learned a lesson" like charging full steam into the same minefield.
Chelsea, half horrified and half impressed, starts giving orders like Naomi Campbell in a bad mood: eat properly, get a physical, stay in school. She doubts the dads will go for it, but Samantha’s got the confidence of a girl who hasn’t faced rejection yet. She’s going full throttle, and she will guilt-hug her way into getting what she wants.
Kat the Spy and Eva the Eavesdropper
Back at Nicole and Ted’s place, Nicole stumbles upon the camera Kat oh-so-cleverly planted. And instead of disposing of it like a normal person, Kat forgot… because she got busy? Please. Nicole’s not buying it, and before Kat can wiggle out of it, Eva “accidentally” walks in to listen from the shadows. Classic Eva.

Kat insists she doesn’t hate Eva, she just doesn’t trust her. There’s a difference, apparently. Nicole tries to school her daughter on not tormenting people just because she doesn’t vibe with them. Eva makes her grand entrance and acts like she hasn’t been eavesdropping like a budget Nancy Drew. The whole scene is one long passive-aggressive handshake with daggers behind the smiles.
Shenanigans in the Shadows: Leslie, You’ve Got Some Explaining To Do
So, who exactly is Leslie? Oh, just your friendly neighborhood imposter. She strolls into Garland Memorial, waits until the coast is clear, and pulls up Laura’s medical chart like she owns the place. But surprise! Shanice, the queen of no-nonsense, catches her mid-snoop.
Leslie lies faster than a BTG plot twist, saying she’s Lulu Lenhart, a recent transfer. Shanice is clearly not convinced but lets it slide after confirming Laura’s infection is going to keep her parked in the hospital for a while. Leslie bolts before more questions can be asked. The audacity? Boundless.

Flawed Charts and Filmmaker Therapy Sessions
Ashley’s day goes downhill fast when Dr. Flannery points out a decimal-point disaster in her notes. It’s a small mistake with big consequences, and Ashley is not okay. Cue Andre, who’s back with his camera and zero respect for personal space. Ashley freaks, but he coaxes her into talking about the pressure of being perfect. Cue Derek arriving just in time to watch his girl fall apart emotionally. That man has tragic timing down to a science.
Later, Ashley spills about how Derek’s job as a firefighter is a ticking time bomb of heartbreak. She's scared, vulnerable, and saying it all in front of Andre’s lens. Derek finally swoops in for support, and the two share a moment… with Andre awkwardly lurking in the background. Romantic? Not exactly. But this is BTG—we’ll take what we can get.
Kat + Tomas = Birthday Drama Loading
Kat and Tomas are having a cozy moment reviewing her fashion show win, which has catapulted her line to success. Yay! Except… that means less time for sweet dates like this one. She invites him to her birthday bash, promising to run interference with her grandfather and the rest of her chaos-loving clan. Tomas looks hesitant, but agrees. Baby boy, you better brace yourself.
Samantha and Tyrell: Meme Meltdown and Dream Delusions
Samantha finds Tyrell sulking over his underwear memes (valid), but she’s got bigger plans. Like dragging him along for the modeling ride. She wants out of their school, out of their boring life, and into the spotlight—preferably without telling their dads.
Tyrell, forever the realist, jokes that he’ll pencil in her funeral for when the parental units find out. Samantha remains in full delulu mode and thinks they can spin this into a win. Baby girl is manifesting hard.
Chelsea and Kat: Sisterly Sass and Strategic Planning
Kat and Chelsea meet up for a little gossip session about Samantha’s new career goal. Chelsea’s annoyed Kat isn’t panicking, but Kat? She sees opportunity. She tells Chelsea to use her influencer power for good (or at least for clicks) and help guide Samantha. Chelsea pretends she’s above it, but you know that little seed has been planted.
Daddy Drama: Samantha Makes Her Move
Martin and Smitty come home to a clean house. That’s suspicious. Even more suspicious? Samantha suddenly deciding now is the time to confess her modeling aspirations. Smitty, ever the detective, knows when he’s being played. But Samantha’s not backing down. She’s got dreams, and she’s not about to let parental logic ruin her runway.
Eva and Leslie: Twisted Tales and Terrible Plans
Eva runs home to tell Leslie that Ted and Nicole want to set her up as a hairstylist at the country club. Cute, right? Well, Leslie’s already plotting how to use this for maximum advantage. When Eva mentions Laura’s extended hospital stay, Leslie basically says the stars have aligned. Eva’s horrified—rightfully so—and wonders if her mother had something to do with Laura’s health issues.
Leslie clutches her pearls and asks, “How could I give someone an infection?” with the fakest innocence you’ve ever seen. We’re not buying it, and neither is Eva.
