Days of Our Lives Full Episode Recap | Chaos, Guns & DiMera Drama - Wednesday, April 2, 2025 [SPOILERS]

Wednesday's Days of Our Lives full episode recap is serving up threats, betrayal, heartbreak, and a whole lot of people reaching for their weapons. Watch out EJ! Let’s dive in and see who’s out for blood (spoiler: almost everyone).

EJ | DOOL, Peacock

Johnny Gets a Lesson in Bad Ideas from Grandpa Roman

Johnny, bless his heart, is still reeling from the adoption fiasco. He checks in on Chanel, who’s understandably gutted and contemplating a quick escape to Chicago. But Johnny’s got family business to attend to first. He stops by the pub for some quality time with Grandpa Roman, which turns into an impromptu gun safety lesson—but not the responsible kind.

Roman & Johnny | DOOL

Roman, still fuming over EJ’s endless trail of destruction, lets it slip that he’s got a gun stashed behind the bar. Oh, and he casually mentions that he wouldn’t mind using it on EJ. Johnny, always one to escalate things, admits he nearly stabbed his own father when EJ came groveling for forgiveness. That’s some normal father-son bonding right there! As Johnny absorbs all this wonderful wisdom, Ava lurks nearby, clearly up to something shady.

Chanel Reads EJ for Filth

Meanwhile, EJ is drowning his sorrows because he got played by Belle’s wire-wearing scheme. But before he can drink himself into a stupor, Chanel bursts in, ready to verbally annihilate him. She’s livid that his criminal antics cost her and Johnny their shot at adoption.

Chanel adds herself to the suspect list after visiting EJ | DOOL

EJ, ever the charming villain, is basically like, “Let’s get this over with.” Chanel doesn’t hold back, calling him a dangerous man and confirming that Amy was right to keep her grandchild far, far away from him. When she finds out Johnny has officially disowned his father, she’s not surprised—just disappointed that EJ still doesn’t seem to grasp the concept of remorse. Before she storms out, EJ makes one last pathetic plea for her to tell Johnny that he loves him. She agrees, but let’s be real, that message is going straight to voicemail.

Belle and Brady’s Therapy Hour

Belle stumbles home, yanks off her wire, and lets out a deep sigh of failure. Brady, ever the concerned brother, notices something is off. She admits she tried to take EJ down and flopped spectacularly. Worse, she might still have feelings for the man. Brady, who knows a thing or two about toxic relationships (hello, Kristen), reassures her that she can break free from the EJ vortex. He did it with his own addiction—both to substances and to the human disaster that is Kristen.

Belle, always quick to deflect, points out that Brady rebounded with Ava, but he shuts that down fast. That ship has sailed. As he turns in for the night, Belle texts Jada, letting her know she failed in her mission to take EJ down. Big surprise.

Rafe, Gabi, and a Whole Lot of Bad Decisions

Over at Casa Hernandez, Rafe is having a pity party, and Gabi is the only one invited. He tells her Jada cheated on him, and Gabi—Queen of Messy Relationships—shrugs it off as a technicality. It happened before Rafe got back, so it’s not really cheating-cheating. But Rafe isn’t buying it. He’s too busy being angry that Jada didn’t confess her sins the second he walked through the door.

Gabi, ever the ride-or-die, tries to defend Jada, reminding Rafe that she was traumatized by Arnold. But Rafe is in no mood for logic. When Gabi casually drops that EJ is the real villain here and that she could kill him for what he’s done to them, Rafe hits the brakes. “Maybe don’t say that out loud?” he warns. But Gabi isn’t exactly known for restraint, so she lets the threat hang in the air.

Jada and Paulina Have a Moment… and a Murder Plot?

Jada, needing some girl talk, heads to Paulina’s place. Paulina, who’s home alone since Abe is visiting Lani, welcomes the distraction. Jada drops the bombshell that she slept with “Detective Brady.” Paulina does some quick mental math and realizes it all went down before Jada and Rafe were officially back on duty. No ethical violations here! But Paulina can sense there’s more to the story.

Jada & Paulina | DOOL

Jada confesses that Rafe is furious, and Paulina is NOT having it. She immediately blames EJ for everything going wrong in their lives. Jada tries to argue that her relationship drama isn’t exactly EJ’s fault, but Paulina isn’t budging. In her eyes, EJ DiMera is the root of all evil. And let’s just say, Paulina wouldn’t be sad if someone took care of him permanently. Jada gets a text from Belle, confirming EJ is still untouchable, and Paulina makes a not-so-subtle suggestion that maybe it’s time for some street justice. Jada, gun in hand, seems to agree.

Guns, Guns Everywhere… and No One Thinking Clearly

As the episode barrels toward its inevitable cliffhanger, things are getting tense.

JJ shows up at the Hernandez house, but no one’s home. Shawn texts Jada, and her response? “I am far from OK.” Translation: She’s about to do something very dumb.

Chanel checks in with Paulina, who’s asleep with a book on her chest, because even in Salem, moms need naps. She asks if Johnny’s home, but there’s no sign of him yet. Meanwhile, Johnny is back at the pub, helping himself to Grandpa Roman’s gun because, sure, why not?

And then there’s Ava, standing outside, pulling out her own weapon. Because apparently, everyone in Salem decided today was “bring your gun to work” day.

The Show’s Grand Finale: EJ’s Big Surprise

Cut to EJ, having a dramatic conversation with the ghost of Stefano (as one does). He’s throwing back drinks, basking in his own villainous glow, and declaring himself the winner of whatever game he thinks he’s playing. But just as he’s reveling in his victory, his face changes. He’s looking off-screen. Someone’s there.

And based on the amount of loaded guns floating around Salem, a murder mystery is about to begin.
