Philip, Sarah & Xander | DOOL, Peacock

Welcome to the Fundraiser Fiasco

The day kicks off with Kayla and Cat giving each other a gold star for turning Horton Square into a carnival so colorful it would make Willy Wonka blush. Kayla’s practically beaming, praising Chad for helping make this chaos look cute. Meanwhile, Chad’s trying to drag a sulking JJ out of his breakup blues to join the party.

JJ is not in the mood. Why? Because he and Gabi had it out, and now he’s not sure there’s any fixing that train wreck. But Chad pulls the classic guilt card—using the kids. Thomas and Charlotte beg Uncle JJ to join them, and boom—he’s in. He couldn’t say no to those little faces even if he wanted to.

The minute they land at the square, Cat whisks the kids off for face painting (bless her), while the adults engage in a little light small talk about, you know, the usual—like who might have tried to murder Ava. You know, standard carnival chatter.

Face Paint, Feelings & Fears

Cat’s over there painting the kids’ faces like a pro while Chad watches, lowkey charmed. Thomas wants his dad to get a rainbow tiger painted on his mug, and Chad is giving major “no thank you” energy. But the tiger? It’s happening. And apparently, it’s “sick.” Chad’s still wondering who would bid on a rainbow tiger at an auction, but Charlotte’s just laughing like she knows exactly how unserious this fundraiser has become.

She gets serious for a second though, begging her dad not to leave for the auction. Because you know, in Salem, going to grab milk or attend a fundraiser can mean disappearing for six months. Chad promises he’ll be back and that Aunt Julie’s got their backs.

Gabi’s Jealousy Game is Worth a Cool 15K

Meanwhile, Gabi is in the kitchen, trying to get some juice and forget she ever laid eyes on JJ. No such luck. She finds Javi and Leo drooling over the lineup of bachelor auction candidates like it’s Tinder for hospital donors. Javi’s got a crush on Alex, but Leo—being Leo—reminds him Alex once threatened to kill him over Sonny. Yikes.

Gabi, ever the reality check, pops that dream balloon fast. Alex is straight and taken, so put that wallet away, boo. But when Javi tries to drag her to the auction anyway, she unloads all her drama about JJ, and Leo—shockingly—doesn’t think she’s overreacting. In fact, he encourages her to join in and use the auction as a jealousy trap. Classic Leo logic.

Sarah’s Secrets & Xander’s Rage Robe

While this circus plays out, Xander is at home in full “I’ve given up” mode, eating breakfast in a robe like he's Hugh Hefner with a grudge. Sarah tells him to get dressed, but he claps back with, “Why? Salem betrayed me, so robe it is.”

Just then, Philip shows up to stir the pot. And boy, does he deliver. He tells Xander that Sarah’s been lying—she knew about the forgery the whole time. Except, plot twist: it’s a dream. Sarah wakes Xander up and drags him to the fundraiser before he can spiral too hard.

At the carnival, Sarah tries to keep Xander from doing something stupid (a full-time job at this point), but the second he spots Philip, he goes full Terminator.

Alex the Reluctant Bachelor, Stephanie the Queen of Boundaries

Alex is still in bed when Stephanie brings him coffee, serving up flirtation with a side of “don’t get too cute at the auction.” Alex’s mind is still on yesterday’s showdown with Xander, but Stephanie's got a schedule to keep. He doesn’t love the idea of auctioning himself off like meat at a butcher shop, but she reminds him he’s technically single—on paper.

She also lays down the law: this date better be rated G, or she’s coming for whoever wins the bid. Alex agrees, because obviously, Steph’s the only one he’s playing for.

Xander Almost Gets Arrested (Again)

Back at the square, Xander finally corners Philip and gets loud enough for JJ to saunter over and ask, “Hey, should I be arresting someone today?” Xander practically begs him to slap the cuffs on Philip for fraud. JJ asks for proof, and—surprise—Xander backs off.

He goes from “lock him up” to “meh, never mind” real fast. Still, he throws out a casual, “Stick around, I might kill him,” and JJ's like, “Cool, I’ll just be… over here.” Sarah tries to play peacemaker while simultaneously smacking sense into her husband. Philip’s just glad to be alive and throws in a brotherly “we have to work together” moment, even if Xander looks like he’s already planning his demise.

Let the Auction Shade-Fest Begin

At the Brady Pub, Kayla kicks off the bachelor/bachelorette auction with a bang. Leo starts the bidding for Alex and things get spicy fast. Stephanie and Javi get into it, but just when Steph’s about to win with a thousand bucks, in walks Gabi with all the subtlety of a mic drop and bids ten grand.

She looks JJ dead in the eye and raises her bid to $15,000. It’s not love, it’s revenge. And it's pricey. JJ is shook. Leo and Javi run over to poke the bear about accusing Gabi of attempted murder. JJ shrugs it off like that donation wasn’t clearly a giant neon sign saying, “I win.”

Kayla is delighted to accept Gabi’s outrageous donation, and Gabi milks the moment, flaunting her win like a peacock in designer heels. Alex and Stephanie come over to thank her, but when Gabi gets a little too cozy, Steph is quick to snatch her man and set the record straight.

Closing Time: Apologies, Awkward Chats & Silent Stares

As the carnival winds down, Chad comforts Charlotte while Stephanie takes her for a distraction walk. Thomas shows off his doggy face to Uncle JJ, and Chad gets a moment to breathe.

Kayla texts to say the auction was a financial win (big surprise when people are dropping $15k out of spite), and Cat and Chad celebrate the chaos being worth it. Gabi takes one last stab at JJ with a passive-aggressive “You broke, huh?” and walks away smirking. JJ just stares after her like he knows he’s never gonna financially recover from this.

Finally, Sarah takes a minute to thank Philip for not spilling the beans about her betrayal. She knows if Xander finds out, their marriage is toast. Philip agrees to keep his lips sealed—for now—but Xander’s watching from the shadows like he’s about to star in a revenge thriller.
