Ava discovers something shady about Ric's accident | GH, ABC

Kai’s Football Dreams, Curtis’ Grudge, and Drew’s Delusions

Let’s kick this General Hospital recap off at Trina’s place, where Kai, ever the walking bundle of hope and charm, drops the bombshell that he might—might—play football again. Naturally, Trina is skeptical. I mean, last she checked, spinal injuries weren’t exactly solved with a Band-Aid and a pep talk. But here comes Drew, the self-appointed hero of every lost cause, suggesting a doctor with a procedure that might work. Oh, and Drew consulted Trina’s mom about it, so clearly it’s legit.

Trina is touched but hesitant. She’s not sold on Kai diving headfirst into a pipe dream. Kai, however, is convinced that Trina’s the reason he’s exploring a life beyond the football field—and now he wants it all, including a second shot at the game. Cute, but Curtis is not here for it.

Cut to Curtis, who’s locked in another growling match with Drew. Apparently, these two can’t be in the same zip code without clashing. Curtis tells Drew to stop filling Kai’s head with false hope, but Drew’s out here acting like Tony Robbins with a savior complex. Curtis reminds him that not every “uplifting opportunity” ends well—ask Michael, who got caught in the crossfire of Drew’s obsession with Willow. Drew defends himself with that classic move: “I just want to help!” Curtis claps back with: “You only help until you’re done with people.” Ouch.

Joss Outsmarts Everyone at the WSB

Meanwhile, at the WSB training facility, Josslyn Jacks is about to drop some serious spy-girl energy. She accuses Vaughn of shady behavior at a coffee shop—something about a drop-off that smelled way too much like espionage. Jack (the WSB higher-up, not her stepdad) is skeptical, warning her that one wrong accusation could nuke her career and Vaughn’s.

Joss rats out Vaughan to Jack | GH

But Joss is ride-or-die for the truth. She lays out the whole situation, even as Vaughn plays the innocent card. Jack presses Vaughn to empty his pockets, and—gasp—out comes a suspicious blue envelope. Inside? Something that looks suspiciously like an SD card. Jack gives Joss a sly smile and congratulates her. This wasn’t a betrayal—it was a test, and she passed with flying colors. Vaughn, now revealed to be in on it, tosses her some “spy gum” in a smug salute. Joss is officially headed into the field, and she is so ready.

Jason and Carly Find Peace (Sort Of)

Back in Port Charles, Carly and Jason are trying to navigate their friendship. Jason shows up with some thrilling paperwork—nothing gets hearts racing like tax documents—but the real reason is emotional baggage. He hates the awkward distance between them, and Carly agrees.

They hash it out: Carly doesn’t want to choose between Jason and Jack, and Jason doesn’t trust Jack with Carly’s life. Standard GH drama, really. Carly, however, makes it clear that she’s not giving up her new relationship just because Jason can’t handle it. She reminds him they’ve survived worse—remember the Sonny situation? Yeah, still burned into everyone’s memory.

Jason, finally getting the memo, agrees to butt out and support her. They hug it out just as Joss walks in with a chipper “I’m home!”.

Ava Gets Answers, Ric Wakes Up & Kristina Panics

Let’s move on to the emotional mess that is the Ric car crash. Ava’s been hovering around the hospital. She manages to charm her way into Ric’s room—even though his family hates her—with a heartfelt speech that would have cracked a stone. And surprise: Ric wakes up.

Ric wakes up after his accident | GH

Not only is Ric alive, he’s got memories flooding back, including one very crucial detail—the brakes failed. Cue the ominous music.

Elsewhere, Liz is lying in a hospital bed, annoyed that she can’t even go to the bathroom without help. Lucky shows up with her things, and the two share a quiet moment. Liz knows this recovery’s going to be hell, but she’s grateful to be alive. She tells Lucky not to blame Ric for the accident, but something tells us that’s wishful thinking.

Kristina prays for Ric to survive | GH

Meanwhile, Kristina is doing her best “Catholic guilt” routine in the chapel, praying for Ric’s survival while Molly and Alexis walk in on her. Molly is touched, Kristina looks like she’s two seconds away from a full confession, and Alexis—ever the queen of shade—tells Ava to stay away from her family again. Ava reminds her that GH is a public space and she’s not going anywhere. These two are one musical number away from a diva-off at the Nurses Ball.

Ric Remembers and Kristina Cracks

Once Ava’s gone, Molly gets her moment with Ric, and it’s sweet enough to cause cavities. She tells him she loves him, and he actually says it back, which, let’s be honest, is a rarity in the land of repressed male emotions.

But then, bam—Ric flashes back to the crash. He remembers waking up behind the wheel... and Kristina standing there, watching him. Yep, things just went from tragic to potentially criminal.

Liz finally hears that Ric is awake, and while she’s trying to stay neutral, Lucky isn’t buying the “just an accident” story. Kristina, now in full breakdown mode, sends Lucky an SOS. When they meet, she asks if anyone knows what she did. His answer? “Not yet.” Then he drops the line we’ve been waiting for: Tell me everything about how you almost killed Liz.

The Nurses Ball Invasion

Meanwhile, Lucy is on a recruitment spree that would make a Broadway casting director jealous. She ropes Jordan into helping organize the Nurses Ball—even though Jordan didn’t actually sign up for that job. Curtis and Drew also get pulled into the chaos, and while Drew would rather cut a check, Lucy’s got bigger plans. She insists these men have “hidden talents” just waiting to be discovered. Translation: prepare yourself for a duet no one asked for.

Lucy then bursts into Trina’s place mid-makeout session (classic Lucy), meets Kai, and declares them both officially signed up. Whether they can sing or not is apparently irrelevant.

Ava’s Shocking Discovery: Sabotage Confirmed

Ava learns Ric's brakes were cut | GH

And finally, Ava takes a little field trip to the garage where Ric’s car was towed. With some smooth-talking and fake insurance drama, she convinces a mechanic to inspect the wreck. The verdict? The brakes were cut. We’re not dealing with an accident. We’re dealing with full-blown sabotage.
