General Hospital Recap | Michael’s Cold Shoulder, Sonny’s Near-Death Wake-Up & Blackmail - Friday, April 25, 2025 [SPOILERS]

Friday's General Hospital served up major! From Ava shaking Alexis down for more cash to Sonny fighting off death (and shady nurses) to Kristina discovering her commitment papers, we’re breaking down every scandalous moment in this GH full episode recap.

Sonny | GH, ABC

Drew & Jenz Play Dirty While Pretending to Play Nice

Somewhere in the heart of the Metro Court, Drew and Jenz were busy making shady deals under the pretense of friendship with Jordan. Jordan, who’s suddenly the new COO of J&S Industries (because why not?), acted like she didn’t smell the mess a mile away. Drew thanked her with all the sincerity of a used car salesman, and Jenz jumped in to make it crystal clear: the goal is to snatch Sonny’s piers like a Black Friday sale. Oh, and they’re going to let Ezra do the dirty work of trashing Laura because they’re classy like that.

Jordan politely excused herself to “make calls” (read: probably to wash the sleaze off her hands), leaving Drew and Jenz to bask in their genius. Drew praised Jenz for hiring Jordan, clearly believing that good friends make excellent backstabbers. Mutual hatred for Sonny? The new foundation for Port Charles’ most dysfunctional bromance.

Ava’s Got the Nerve & Alexis Has the Receipts

Meanwhile, over at Diane and Alexis’ office, Ava strutted in like she owned the place and demanded a fat payday. She wanted $150,000, and she wanted it yesterday. Alexis, ever the buzzkill, reminded her that snatching that much cash too fast would scream “investigate me!” louder than a siren. Ava didn’t care—she threatened to air Kristina’s dirty laundry like it was laundry day.

But Alexis wasn’t born yesterday. She knew Ava wouldn’t risk her own skeletons getting dragged out of the closet, especially since Ric is tangled up in this mess too. In the end, Alexis agreed to make the transfer, because apparently, she loves paying off terrorists. We love a woman who can multitask under pressure.

Kristina Finds Out Mommy Dearest Has Big Plans

As if that wasn’t enough family drama, Molly stumbled upon some commitment papers and decided, “Hey, let’s ruin Kristina’s day.” After a very clumsy attempt to pass off Cody teaching Donna how to tie knots as the reason for her visit, Molly whipped out the papers showing Alexis wanted Kristina committed.

Kristina & Molly | GH

Cue Kristina’s full-blown meltdown. She demanded answers, especially since the papers were dated suspiciously close to their recent Davis girls’ night. Molly, for once, wasn’t a traitor, and she hugged Kristina, swearing she didn’t co-sign any of this nonsense.

Kristina decided she was done being blindsided and was ready to confront Alexis directly. Molly, still clutching the last shreds of her own dignity, agreed to back her up. Meanwhile, Cody got promoted to “babysitter of the year” by default. Rough day for everyone.

Sonny Corinthos: Still Fighting, Still Not Safe

Over in LA, Sonny’s life continued hanging by a thread. Brick assured Carly that security was tighter than Nina’s Botox, but nobody was breathing easy just yet. Carly was already on edge about Willow visiting Michael and potentially setting off a whole new round of disaster.

Then, just when Carly thought she could relax for half a second, Dr. Abbott showed up to announce Sonny’s surgery was done. He was alive, stabilized, and presumably ready to punch the next person who looked at him wrong.

Except—plot twist—a nurse with the subtlety of a cartoon villain tried to sneak into Sonny’s room and finish the job with a suspicious syringe. Unfortunately for her, Sonny woke up right in the nick of time, because of course he did. Sonny doesn’t just die, honey—he fights.

Brook Lynn and Lulu: High School Drama With Adult Consequences

Over at Lulu’s place, Brook Lynn burst through the door, all rage and accusations. She basically accused Lulu of using her adoption article as a passive-aggressive missile aimed at her uterus. Lulu denied it, but let’s be real—this is Lulu we’re talking about.

Brook Lynn sobbed about the son she placed for adoption through the nuns of St. Ignatius and warned Lulu she could blow up more lives than a soap opera producer on a sugar high. Dante wandered into this landmine just in time, only to be fed a version of the story that made zero sense to him. Lulu and Dante agreed to “tread lightly” with Brook Lynn, but honestly, that ship sailed when Lulu decided her new career goal was “professional pot-stirrer.”

Nina & Portia’s Plot Involves Prostitutes (Because Of Course It Does)

Back at Crimson, Nina and Portia proved once again that desperation makes you do dumb things. Their brilliant plan to ruin Drew involved hiring a prostitute—not for actual sex, but for a photoshoot scandal. Enter Jacinda, who sized up Nina and Portia and decided she needed hazard pay. Six thousand dollars, to be exact.

Nina gasped because she apparently thought dragging a sex worker into congressional scandal territory would come cheap. Nevertheless, they agreed. Jacinda wasn’t about to work for exposure like some starving influencer.

If this plan sounds deranged, congratulations—you’ve been paying attention.

Willow’s Heartbreak in Germany

Poor Willow. She arrived at the German clinic ready to have a Hallmark moment with Michael, only to get slapped with the coldest rejection in soap history. A very nervous woman at the desk informed her that Michael didn’t want to see her. Willow pleaded her case—kids, family, love, the usual—but the woman stood firm.

Willow | GH

In reality? Michael hadn’t rejected her. Drew had paid off the woman to lie to Willow’s face. Because apparently, ruining lives is just part of Drew’s daily cardio now.

A sobbing Willow called Nina, who promptly made it all about sealing her deal with Jacinda. Priorities, folks. Willow, heartbroken and humiliated, vowed to fly home the next morning, completely unaware she was just collateral damage in Port Charles’ favorite blood sport: sabotage.

Friday’s Wild Final Moments

As all these betrayals simmered, Alexis made the wire transfer to Ava like the world’s saddest Venmo transaction, only to be confronted seconds later by Molly and Kristina. Kristina shoved the commitment papers in her face and demanded answers in her best “angry daughter” voice.

Kristina confronts Alexis | GH

Meanwhile, Carly called Jason to celebrate Sonny’s survival—unaware that a literal murder attempt was happening as they spoke. Luckily for Sonny, waking up mid-murder attempt is basically his superpower now.
