Y&R Full Episode Recap | Messy Love, Shady Deals & Family Feuds - Friday, April 4, 2025 [SPOILERS]

Friday's episode of The Young and the Restless serves up suspicious siblings, unresolved trauma, and enough romantic tension to steam your screen. This Y&R full episode recap dishes the drama.

Lovebirds, Lattes, and Lipstick Trouble

Claire & Kyle | Y&R, CBS SONY

Well, well, well—if it isn’t Kyle and Claire playing house at Crimson Lights. Nothing says young, restless, and possibly doomed like a couple who haven’t dropped the L-bomb but are already radiating couple-core energy over a shared latte. Cue Ester, the patron saint of nosy baristas, all up in their business asking why they haven’t said “I love you” yet. Subtle as a sledgehammer, that one.

Kyle ends up with whipped cream on his nose (yes, literally), which should’ve been the messiest part of the encounter—but no. That honor belongs to Victor, who’s looming like a well-dressed storm cloud ready to rain on everyone’s parade. The man's suspicious of Damian, suspicious of love, and apparently allergic to letting Claire have a good time.

Secrets, Siblings, and a Side of Suspicion

Elsewhere, Nate and Audra are doing what they do best—whispering theories like they're auditioning for a conspiracy podcast. Lily’s on a warpath, and her target is Damian, with Victor fanning the flames. Damian has allegedly been scheming behind the scenes like he’s auditioning for villain of the year. But Victor? Oh, he’s got sources—aka his own brand of chess-playing manipulation.

Audra's not buying any of it. She’s wondering if Damian might be the victim of a larger plot—like maybe Dumas is the real snake slithering through Genoa City. Is Damian just a pawn? A decoy? A conveniently handsome distraction? Nate’s all in on #TeamDamian thanks to a mother-son sob story, but Lily is on high alert. And Devon? He's flashing red flags like it's fashion week in Milan.

The Abbott House of Secrets

Back at the Abbott family compound, Diane is doing her best to win over Traci with soft words and wide eyes. But Traci, queen of repressed trauma, is not biting. She’s fine (which in soap-speak means she’s absolutely not fine). Jack pops in right on cue, and Diane suddenly feels like the third wheel in her own marriage. Oops.

Once Diane sashays back to the office, Traci spills—well, drips, really—a little truth about Alan. Remember him? Mr. "I'm totally not shady, just maybe my evil twin who's supposed to be dead"? Yeah, that Alan. Turns out he might actually be Martin. He’s been dodging messages, showing up mysteriously, and possibly lying through his teeth. Still, Traci’s heart is all tangled up in this emotional yarn, and Jack’s just trying to hold it together with hugs and concerned glances.

Kyle’s Glowing, Claire’s Blushing & Victor’s Plotting

Over at Society, Claire and Kyle are back to their flirty dinner vibes. Kyle’s floating on air because he and Jack had a productive day at Jabot (finally), and he’s even got nice things to say about Diane. Growth? Possibly. Naïveté? Almost certainly.

Claire is grateful but gently asks Kyle not to rub their relationship in her grandfather’s face. Good luck with that—Kyle’s already poked the bear, and Victor is not one to forget. Speaking of the mustachioed master manipulator, he practically snarls at Kyle before sweetly chatting up Claire about horse riding like he wasn’t just mentally drafting a hit list. Classic Victor.

Winters Is Under Siege & Everyone’s Got Theories

Meanwhile, Lily and Devon are rallying the troops. Victor insists that Dumas is out to swallow Winters Inc. whole, like the corporate vulture he probably is. Devon’s skeptical, Lily’s frazzled, and Nate’s defensive. Damian, apparently, is the innocent baby deer in all this—but only if you ask Nate. If you ask literally anyone else? Not so much.

Lily’s also side-eyeing Damian’s reach—he’s already sniffing around Abbott Communications via Billy. It’s giving hostile takeover with a side of espionage, and no one’s here for it. Except Nate, who seems to think trust is a personality trait.

Claire vs. Grandpa: Love, War, and Passive-Aggression

Claire’s doing her best to ignore Victor’s subtle jabs (which, let’s be honest, are about as subtle as a brick to the face). Kyle insists he wasn’t trying to antagonize her grandfather—OK, maybe a little—but promises to tone it down. Claire, bless her optimistic heart, hopes Victor will eventually approve of their relationship. Good luck, girl. That man wouldn’t give a blessing if it came wrapped in stock shares and a monogrammed cigar.

Traci’s Heartbreak and One Big “Uh-Oh” Revelation

Things take a turn when Traci finally listens to the call she’s been ignoring (you know, the one we’ve all been screaming at her to check). It’s Alan. And he’s dropping I-love-yous like confetti, saying he wants to make her his wife. Cue the tears. Traci is unraveling, Jack is hugging like it's his job, and everyone watching is wondering if Alan is genuinely lovesick—or just a slick conman with a great phone voice.

Jack and Traci agree—if Alan turns out to be Martin, the whole family needs to know. Because if he knows their routines and patterns, he’s not just an ex-lover. He’s a potential threat. And the Abbott clan does not do well with threats.

Victor and Audra: Awkward Encounters and Unexpected Offers

Victor seems to have a proposition for Audra | Y&R

Will Audra accept it? | Y&R

In classic Y&R style, Victor and Audra run into each other at Crimson Lights. She should’ve taken a different route; he should’ve stayed at home menacing from the shadows. Instead, they engage in what can only be described as high-level passive-aggressive banter. He wants to know what she’s up to. She wants to know why he’s suddenly interested in her future. And then—plot twist—he invites her for a drink.

Is it a truce? A trap? A job interview? With Victor, it’s always all three.

Next Week on Y&R: Revenge, Resurrections, and “Wait… What?!”

If you think this week was juicy, next week’s Y&R drama looks even jucier. Victor asks Audra if she’s ever considered revenge against Kyle (subtle, Victor, real subtle). She wants to know what she gets out of the deal. A new position? A front-row seat to destruction? Who knows—but she’s listening.

Meanwhile, Jack straight-up asks Ashley if it’s remotely possible that Martin survived that tumble in Paris. And just when Traci’s trying to emotionally detox, Alan shows up in her suite like there's nothing to be concerned about.
