Victor’s Got Strings & Everyone’s a Puppet
Let’s kick this Y&R recap off where it always seems to start — with Victor Newman being his usual mastermind self. Nate, ever the charmer with a raised eyebrow, figures out that Audra’s been buttering him up like a biscuit at brunch. Surprise, surprise — it’s not for the pleasure of his company. No, Victor wants something from her, and Nate’s not buying that it's just a friendly favor. Newsflash: Victor doesn’t do “friendly.” He does calculated. And what’s Audra willing to do? Let’s just say — nothing outside her comfort zone. But comfort has a very flexible definition in Genoa City.
Meanwhile, Michael’s reporting to the mustached puppet master at the club. The rogue spy has ghosted, and Michael’s suspicious someone got to him. Oh, you think? Genoa City might as well be called “Backstabberville.”
Corporate Espionage, But Make It Fashion
Over at Jabot, Kyle decides to play tough guy and drags Matheson in to face the music. Jack Abbott’s all smiles, but don’t be fooled — he’s not here for small talk. Matheson tries to play dumb about why he’s snooping into Jabot’s product lines. Oh, he just wants to “help.” Help who, exactly? Kyle's glare could cut glass.
Matheson’s choices? Confess he’s Victor’s inside man and flip to team Jabot, or get blacklisted harder than a soap villain who crosses Nikki Newman. He chooses survival. Smart man. But don’t think for one second Jack’s letting him off easy. The Abbotts may look polished, but they’ve got claws under those cashmere sleeves.
Claire’s Got Layers & Apparently a Stalker Fan Club
Let’s talk about Claire for a minute. She bumps into Holden (aka Mr. Mysterious) at the jazz lounge, and he’s all “you’re a Vesper fan now?” Sir, please. She politely declines his drink invite because she’s waiting for her boyfriend — say it louder for the ones in the back, Claire.
Holden swears he wasn’t hitting on her, but come on. He drops a story about how his boss is reconnecting with long-lost family and — cue dramatic pause — turns out it’s Damian. Oh, what a tangled Newman family web we weave.
Lily, Damian & Devon’s Never-Ending Judgement Parade
Let’s swerve over to Society where Lily’s catching up with Damian over dinner and wine, because what else do these people do? He’s charming, he pays the bill, but when she presses him about Dumas, he freezes like a deer in executive headlights. Can’t rock the boat, he says. Honey, you’re already in the water — might as well swim.
Enter Devon, stage left, looking like he bit into a lemon. Abby shows up just in time to point out that Damian’s hot (she’s not wrong), and they all awkwardly converge. Damian makes a polite exit, and Devon immediately turns into Big Brother 2.0. He doesn’t trust Damian, and Lily defending him only adds fuel to his suspicions. He brings up old receipts — remember when she called Damian shady? Yeah, so do we.
Victor’s Schemes Get Messier (And More Fun to Watch)
Back in the dark lair (aka the GCAC), Victor’s still plotting. His pet mole at Jabot might be compromised, and now there’s a potential meeting between Dumas and Billy? Victor’s baffled — and if he’s confused, you know it’s a hot mess. Billy’s new little media baby, Abbott Communications, barely has diapers on — what could Dumas possibly want from him?
Victor’s not stopping the train, though. If Billy wants to march straight into a trap, he’ll roll out the red carpet.
Trust Issues, Relationship Drama & a Side of Jazz
Kyle’s working overtime to protect Claire — who he just asked to move in, by the way. Jack’s thrilled, Harrison’s going to be over the moon, but Victor’s judgmental glare is putting serious cracks in Kyle’s confidence. Claire, meanwhile, is hoping Damian’s family drama works out. And Holden? He’s suddenly got a whole lot of reasons to stay in Genoa City. Suspicious much?
Audra and Nate are navigating their own power couple problems. She wants him to look over the contract — because even when she’s being sneaky, she knows better than to ignore Nate’s lawyer brain. He warns her that nothing good ever comes from deals with Victor. She wants to build her own cosmetics empire, and he’s trying to be supportive, but his side-eye is doing most of the talking.
Jack Drops the Mic, Victor’s Not Having It
After dealing with Matheson, Jack’s feeling himself. He tells Kyle to go hang out with Claire while he goes to the club to stir the pot. And stir it he does. He struts up to Victor and Michael, practically glowing, and gives them a cheeky “good evening.” Victor’s unimpressed. Mike tries to keep things cute, suggesting maybe they drop this feud. Victor? Never. He’s locked, loaded, and living for the drama. Jack ordering a drink at the bar like he owns the place only fuels Victor’s fire. This war is far from over.
Holden Can’t Seem to Take a Hint
Back at the jazz lounge, Holden’s oversharing about his LA days with Claire — who’s politely amused — until Kyle walks in, sees the convo, and instantly clocks the tension. Claire introduces her boyfriend and Holden gets the memo. Or does he?
He runs into Nate and Audra on his way out, and Nate makes a jab about how that guy sure seems into Claire. Audra tells him to play jealous — pretend, she says. Girl, you wish he was pretending. Then she drops a cryptic warning to Claire and Kyle that competition is coming. Who’s the competition? We’ll find out, but if you guessed Holden, congrats — you win a smirk from Victor Newman.
Damian: A Mystery Wrapped in a Designer Suit
Lily’s still defending Damian. Devon keeps pushing that she shouldn't trust him — the same man she told everyone was shady five minutes ago. But Lily swears Damian hasn’t even met Dumas. Abby’s now intrigued by this “maybe he knew he had a half-brother” storyline, but Devon’s not buying the redemption arc. He thinks Damian’s got Lily wrapped around his finger. She huffs. Which, in Genoa City, is the universal sign for “I’m not saying you’re right, but…”
