Y&R Full Episode Recap | Traci Confronts Alan - "Tell Me Who You Are, Right NOW!" - Wednesday, April 9, 2025 [SPOILERS]

Wednesday's Young and the Restless full episode recap takes you deep into Genoa City drama when Traci finally confronts Alan, "Tell me who you are, RIGHT NOW!"

Traci confronts Alan in public | Y&R, CBS SONY

Traci’s Got Questions, Alan’s Got Excuses

Traci’s on speaker with Jack and Ashley who are at the jazz lounge, but she’s not alone—oh no, Alan’s there, just oozing awkwardness and vague non-answers. Traci wants to know why this man ghosted her in the most emotionally inconvenient way possible. Alan says he was planning a surprise, but suddenly that whole storyline is canceled because, allegedly, “everything’s changed.” Sir, what exactly changed? Oh, just you turning into your not-so-dead twin brother Martin?

Phyllis & Summer Get the Scoop (and Some Serious Suspicion)

Summer chats with her mom, Phyllis, at Crimson Lights | Y&R

Over at Crimson Lights (because no one in Genoa City knows how to have a meltdown in private), Phyllis drops a truth bomb on Summer. That ominous call Chance got? Yeah, it’s connected to a French clinic, a farmhouse lease, a gas valve, and our beloved Alan—or whoever’s currently wearing his face. Summer is understandably shook. “Are you saying that man did all this?” Yes, sweetie, that’s exactly what we’re saying. Try to keep up.

Sharon’s Unraveling & Rightfully So

Meanwhile, Sharon is unraveling. She’s processing the possibility that Alan’s psycho twin brother—Martin, allegedly deceased—is very much alive and playing mind games with everyone. Nick’s trying to play therapist, but Sharon’s too busy questioning her whole life. And honestly? Fair.

Enter Chance, stage left, with news too juicy to wait. His team found a video setup that was connected to the room where Sharon and Phyllis were being held at the farmhouse. Real horror show energy. Now it’s time to test fingerprints—because if Alan is really Martin, we need receipts. Chance leaves to go do more investigating.

Nick & Sharon | Y&R

Sharon, who is this close to having a full breakdown. She’s been drugged, hallucinated, and was almost framed for murder—and now she finds out her so-called savior might be the same man who kidnapped her? She’s at the end of her rope, and honestly, who could blame her?

Nick tries the inspirational boyfriend speech: “You always get back up.” But even he knows this storyline has pushed Sharon way past her breaking point.

Alan’s “Surprise” Turns into Traci’s Horror Show

Back at Traci's, she’s trying to have a heart-to-heart with Alan. But Alan’s all “something’s changed,” and “you’re hiding your phone in your pocket,” and suddenly it’s less rom-com and more psychological thriller. Jack and Ashley burst in (having overheard everything from the phone in Traci's pocket), saving the moment, but Alan’s still giving major “something’s not right” vibes. Traci tries to joke about Alan and Ashley flying back on the same plane, but girl, the mood is dead.

Jack & Ashley interrupt Alan & Traci | Y&R

Ashley, sharp as ever, drops that she never actually saw Alan in Paris. Suspicious? Absolutely. Alan? Still acting off.

Phyllis & Summer: Secrets, Regrets, and a Side of Guilt

At Crimson Lights, Summer is livid about the possible psycho twin situation.—that same maniac was living under the same roof as her son. If you need to scream, now’s the time.

Phyllis and Summer have a cute little guilt spiral, but don’t worry, they’re still clinging to the idea that Alan’s in France, which means they’re safe. Hmmm...

Summer confesses to Phyllis that she and Chance are basically donezo. He broke up with her, citing her not-so-subtle resentment of Claire always being around. And if you're wondering whether Phyllis asked if Summer’s planning to make a move on Kyle—yes, she did, and yes, Summer was offended. Because even she knows that would be a whole new level of messy.

Summer admits she’s not over Kyle (shock of the century), and blames herself for the breakup. Phyllis, naturally, insists it’s normal to hate sharing your child with a hot ex-nanny.

The Wedding That Wasn’t

Traci, sensing that her man might actually be his murderous sibling, decides maybe now isn’t the time to plan a wedding. Alan doesn’t take it well. Jack’s supportive. Ashley tries to subtly drop hints that this man is not who he says he is. Alan needs air and rushes off. Traci breaks down and sobs as soon as he leaves. The Alan she loved was kind and patient. This version? Not so much.

Ashley, never one to let a truth go unspoken, declares: “That’s not Alan. It’s been Martin all along.” And we believe her, because she’s got the receipts. Or at least, the gut feeling.

Jack and Ashley try to make Traci see the truth. She tested Alan—postponed the wedding to see if the man she loved would understand. The real Alan would have. This one didn’t. He went cold, angry, and defensive real quick. Jack heard the fear in her voice, and Ashley saw right through him. That wasn’t a hurt fiancĂ©—it was a manipulator unraveling.

Ashley’s convinced. Jack’s convinced. Traci? Still wants answers. And just like that, she runs off, her siblings in tow.

Chance Gets His Man… Or Does He?

Cut to the club—because where else would you go after impersonating your dead twin and terrorizing a town? Chance rolls up and finds “Alan” chillin’ at the bar like he didn’t just mentally shatter half of Genoa City. Chance casually starts asking about a certain farmhouse leased by a certain clinic in Paris. Alan tries to play it cool, offering to show banking records (which, bold move). But Chance isn’t buying it and invites him for a little ride… to the station.

And just when we think the drama’s simmering down, Traci shows up with the kind of cinematic timing soap dreams are made of. “If you ever felt anything for me, tell me who you are RIGHT NOW!” she demands. Jack and Ashley are in the background, ready to pounce.

Alan just sighs and you can see his wheels turningOh, honey. That’s not a good sign.
