Y&R Recap | Billy & Jack Discuss Phyllis, Victor Explodes on Michael - Monday, April 28, 2025 [SPOILERS]

Things are getting deliciously messy on The Young and the Restless. From Kyle jumping the gun with Claire, to Michael getting fed up with Victor’s dictator energy, and Lily doing more interrogating than a federal agent, Genoa City is bursting with drama. Here's what happened on Monday's episode.

Billy & Jack | Y&R, CBS SONY

Kyle’s Moving Fast—Claire’s Still Catching Her Breath

Let’s kick this off with Kyle, who clearly missed the memo about taking things slow. He brought Claire into the Abbott mansion like he was unveiling Versailles and basically asked her to move in—because, you know, nothing screams romance like your mom orchestrating your love life. Claire was visibly shook. I mean, she walked into the newly decorated Abbott house and before she could even admire the crown molding, Kyle dropped the cohabitation bomb. Claire was like, “Wait, what?” and Kyle was already three steps ahead planning their domestic bliss.

Jack, being the king of making a graceful exit when things get awkward, dipped with a polite “You’d be welcome here” and left the young lovebirds to deal with the vibe shift. Claire asked the obvious question: didn’t they agree to find their own place? Kyle tried to backpedal, spinning it as a “great for Harrison” situation. Claire wasn’t entirely buying it, but she appreciated the enthusiasm—even if her parents are still reeling from how fast this is moving. Claire made it clear: she’s not about to be bullied, not by Kyle, not by Victor, not by anyone. But she still wants to keep things drama-free on the family front, which means sticking to their original plan. The verdict? No moving in just yet, but plenty of steamy make-out sessions once they realize the house is all theirs for the night.

Victor’s Got Trust Issues—Michael Has Zero Patience

Over at the ranch, Michael sauntered in, ready to have a “man-to-man” with Victor. Spoiler: it turned into a showdown. Michael’s been feeling a little... excluded, especially since he’s pretty sure their undercover guy Mathison has gone rogue. Mathison reappeared after going AWOL with a lame excuse about the flu and some serious “I’m reading off a script” energy. Michael’s spies (yes, he has a network—who knew?) confirmed Mathison was never sick. Victor, for once, actually agreed something was off, but when it came to details? Locked down tighter than Fort Knox.

Michael, who’s been trying to play nice ever since Victor got shot, finally had enough. He reminded Victor that he saved him from becoming Genoa City’s very own jail warden by keeping Jordan locked up like a trophy psycho. But Victor? Not having it. He accused Michael of trying to “put guardrails” on him. Sir, if anyone needs guardrails, it’s you. Michael’s out here begging for transparency while Victor is busy serving cryptic threats about Kyle’s future downfall.

After a shouting match that could register on the Richter scale, Victor kicked Michael out. Michael didn’t waste a second—he texted Jack to set up a secret meeting. If Victor’s hiding something (and of course he is), Michael’s flipping the script.

Lily & Audra: Frenemies or Just Enemies?

Meanwhile, at the Athletic Club, Lily and Audra were giving passive-aggression a masterclass. Audra was playing the innocent card, pretending she’s just misunderstood and trying to make amends. Lily wasn’t buying a single syllable. She called Audra out for trying to snake her way into power and for hiding her past with Holden—who just so happened to be lurking at the bar like a rejected Bond villain.

Audra, with her usual icy cool, insisted the fling with Holden meant nothing. Sure, Jan. Lily pointed out that Audra let Nate meet Holden under an alias and said nothing. Audra claimed she didn’t want to scare anyone off. Lily’s face said it all: girl, please. Audra tried to wave the white flag, but Lily wasn’t ready to trade hugs and forgiveness just yet. With potential threats circling her family, she’s on high alert—and Audra’s secretive vibe is not helping.

Then came the moment of truth. Lily marched right over to Holden and demanded answers. He gave her sarcasm and smugness in return, clearly enjoying the drama. Lily wasn’t having it. She warned him to stay on the outskirts of her family’s business, which of course he took as a challenge. The tension between them was thick enough to cut with a cheese knife. Holden tried to read Lily like he was auditioning for Dr. Phil, but she shut him down with a “barroom charmer” insult and walked away without flinching.

Jack & Billy Talk Phyllis, Dumas & the Fallout of Too Many Feels

In the jazz lounge, Jack and Billy shared a rare chill moment. But it didn’t last long because Billy had some Phyllis drama to unload. Red has been hellbent on dragging Daniel into the family biz—even though he clearly wants no part of it. Daniel said “thanks, but no thanks,” and now Phyllis is losing it.

Billy, bless his heart, is trying to be supportive but is starting to question whether she’s using Daniel as an emotional crutch. It’s a touchy subject, especially since Phyllis has been through it lately. But the truth is, her personal chaos is creeping into business territory, and Billy’s not sure how much longer he can keep juggling both.

Jack, being the dependable older brother, offered full support and told Billy to make whatever call he needed. Oh, and if Billy’s tired of the club life? There’s always room at the Abbott manse—newly renovated and everything. Jack’s just casually recruiting tenants left and right.

Michael & Jack Get Real: Victor’s Secrets Are About to Blow Up

Just when Jack thought he was wrapping up his night with a stiff drink and some brotherly bonding, in walked Michael with urgency written all over his face. Jack didn’t need to be told twice: Victor’s up to something. Again.

Michael didn’t waste time with pleasantries. He’s had it with Victor’s cryptic games and wanted to give Jack a heads-up before the next round of chaos detonates. Jack was all ears—because if Victor’s coming for Jabot or planning a takedown involving Kyle, it’s war. With Michael now low-key defecting to Team Abbott, things are about to get very messy, very fast.
